Hyderabad: Reliable sources indicated that GHMC election notification is likely to be issued on Sunday, 27th December. It is reported that the notification would be issued only after the end of 5-day Chandi Yagnam Pooja of Mr. KCR. It is reported that at the end of this Yagnam, Mr. KCR would declare development plan for the State. Only after this, election notification would be released. It is also said that the last week of December is very important and auspicious. Final decision would be taken after consulting Vastu experts.
Anti-Government sources indicated that the speedy steps that are being taken for GHMC elections indicate that Govt. wants to conduct these elections according to its whims and fancies. It is also reported that the demarcations of 150 Municipal constituencies has not yet being finalized. It is creating anxiety among the aspirants of election tickets. It is also criticized by CPI-M that Govt. machinery is being deployed for the arrangements of Chandi Yagnam and Govt. funds are being misused for religious purposes.
Governor of Telangana and A.P., Mr. E.S.L. Narasimhan participated in pooja yesterday. President Mukherjee is likely to visit the pooja spot on 27th December. Congress spokesman and former MP, Mr. Madhu Goud Yashki alleged that large amounts of donation are being collected from contractors. He demanded the Govt. to make all these details public.
