GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that the corporation has constituted 116 monsoon emergency teams in view of continuous heavy down pours occurring for the last few days.
The Commissioner, who was on China tour with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, has returned to Hyderabad on Sunday midnight. On Monday, he had a teleconference with all the Zonal / Deputy Commissioners and directed the officials to concentrate on water stagnation points and to see that water is cleared immediately on priority. After removing the water, the plastic wastage and other materials too should be removed At present 51 Labour Teams, 31 Emergency Teams, 6 Central Emergency Teams and 24 Instant Repairing Teams are working round the clock, he added.
The Commissioner also directed the engineering officials to identify the pot holes and carry out immediate repairs using modernized pot hole machines. The officials have been asked to respond to all the complaints received through Grievances Help Desk in the Circle offices. He also directed them to submit an Action Taken Report on all the complaints.
Meanwhile, the GHMC Commissioner has suspended Narsing Rao, Town Planning Officer, Rajendranagar Circle for not preventing the illegal constructions which are coming up in Rajendranagar Circle areas and for dereliction of duties. (INN)
