GHMC chief issues guidelines for BC Voters enumeration

GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy on Thursday held a tele-conference with all the Zonal Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners with regard to House to House verifications by the Both Level Officers for BC Electors enumeration.

The Commissioner has directed all the Zonal and Deputy Commissioners that all the Booth Level Officers be made to work on second Saturday and Sunday i.e., on 14th & 15th November so that the enumeration work is completed within the time i.e., on or before 15th November. He also said that the arrears and remuneration to Booth Level Officers should be paid immediately so as to motivate them.

Janardhan Reddy asked all the Zonal and Deputy Commissioners to personally monitor the B.C enumeration. Authentication signature is required when the elector claims that he is a BC. It is not required in the cases of OC/SC or ST voters. If the BC elector is not willing for public exposure of his mobile number, such details may be obtained separately in the prescribed format and it should be ensured that such details are not given in the final publication. He said senior officials should be appointed as Supervisory officers (SO) for preparation and publication of ward wise electoral rolls. (INN)
