GHCC activists protest on Necklace Road

Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee staged a protest at Indira Gandhi Statue on the Necklace Road near Tank Bund on Saturday against the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre for “harassing” AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi with a political revenge in related to National Herald Case.

Speaking on the occasion, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the BJP government revived the National Herald case though the Court dismissed the case in the past. He said the National Herald Newspaper belongs to the Congress party. He warned the BJP government that the Congress cadre will intensify the movements against it in case it fails to stop harassing the Congress leaders.

Later, the police arrested the Congress leaders, including former MPs Anjan Kumar Yadav, G. Vivek and MLA Dr J Geetha Reddy and shifted them to Abids Police Station.
