German Finance Minister proposed Common Army for EU

Berlin: Wolfgang Schaeuble, German Finance Minister proposed that in order to meet the crisis of Syrian immigrants, European countries have to allocate additional financial resources for Military activities. He was talking to German Newspaper, Bilson Zondag. He said that for common military programs, European countries would need more financial resources. The security and foreign affairs of European countries have to be linked together. In this context it is essential to form a common army. He opined that 28 member countries of EU have been spending a lot of money on their armies. If a common army is constituted, this money could be utilized in a better way.
