The Special Operation Team of Cyberabad has busted a gang, which was making fake Pan cards and fake voter ID cards so as to get fake credit cards with a purpose to defraud banks.
Police arrested a gang of 14 persons, including a sales executive in American Express Bank, police said. Mogulla Jagan Mohan Redday alias Srinivas Reddy was kingpin of the gang, which is the root cause of the fraud and cheated various banks and wrongfully gained Rs 63.5 lakh.
This has severe repercussions for the security of the nation in the present juncture because Pan cards and Voter cards are the most important cards issued by the Central Government Authorities and these are the basis for issue of most important and sensitive documents like passport and Aadhar card.
- Jagan Mohan Reddy is a native of Warangal district and studied up to 10th class. Later he worked as supervisor in KNR Constructions in Warangal. About 10 year back. he came to Hyderabad and worked as security guard and later worked in ICICI Bank-City Finance and RPVS Charted accountant’s office as field verification officer. While working there, he got the knowledge about verification and issuing of credit cards. With this knowledge, he hatched a plan to get easy money in wrongful way.
The police seized fake Pan cards, credit cards of different banks, including SBI and HDFC and equipment used in fabricating the cards, police said. (NSS)
