Gadkari to lay stone for 4-lane Yadagiri-Warangal Section tomorrow

National Highways Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, is taking up ‘4-laning of Yadagiri-Warangal Section of NH-202 (New No.NH-163) (Km.54/000 to Km.150/000) in the State of Telangana’, at a cost of Rs 1905 crore on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Contract) mode.

This will be completed in 30 months. The foundation stone for the project will be laid by Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways on October 23. The scope of work involves four laning of 99.10 km connecting Yadgiri and Warangal. The Project also includes four bypasses (for Vangapalli, Aler, Jangaon and Warangal), two road overbridges, four vehicular under passes, one overpass, three pedestrian underpasses, three major bridges and 25 minor bridges.

On account of this project, the total four lane connectivity will be established between Hyderabad and Warangal, which promotes the industrial activities around Warangal and also saves fuel, time, apart from improving the safety and comfort for the commuters. (NSS)
