Mrs. G D Aruna Secretary Tribal Welfare took charge as Secretary Minority Welfare on Monday. After Syed Omer Jaleel left for election duty in Bihar, the government gave additional charge as Secretary Minority Welfare to G D Aruna. She had recently served as incharge secretary in Minority Welfare for one month.
After taking charge G D Aruna convened a meeting along with officers of various departments and reviewed the implementation on various schemes. G D Aruna sought details from Special Officer Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor regarding Mina stampede during Hajj and expressed satisfaction over wellbeing of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh pilgrims. She also learnt about the owner-cum-driver scheme provided by the Minority Finance Corporation under which auto-rickshaws are being provided to poor families.
