London, July 11: Former England midfielder Frank Lampard has confirmed that he will not be able to make his first Major League Soccer ( MLS) appearance for New York City FC against Toronto on Sunday due to a calf strain .
Lampard, the 37-year-old, expressed his disappointment after he was ruled out of the match and is now likely to make his debut against New England Revolution on 18 July, the BBC reported.
Lampard moved to New York from Premier League side Chelsea in July 2014, however, spent last season on loan at Manchester City. (ANI)
