Four persons commit suicide

An 18-year-old boy committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison.

According to Rajender Nagar police, the deceased, Manohar, took the extreme step at his residence in Indira Nagar near Vattepally on August 18. He was admitted to Osmania General Hospital where he died on Saturday night. The reasons that drove him to suicide could not be ascertained.

In another case, B Kavitha, 21, committed suicide allegedly due to harassment for additional dowry by her husband Muni Swamy. She resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in MCH Colony of Old Malakpet on Saturday night. The Chaderghat police registered a case under Section 304B and began investigation.

In a different case, 35-year-old L. Gangaiah, a watchman, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Yadav Nagar on Saturday night. According to Malkajgiri police, financial problems are suspected to be the reason behind suicide.

In a separate case, T. Venakteshwarlu, 38, of Gunti Jangaiah Colony, who had consumed poison in inebriated condition on August 21, died at the hospital on Saturday night. The reasons that drove him to suicide are yet to be ascertained, according to LB Nagar police. (INN)
