Four advocates booked for cheating, forgery

Mumbai: Four advocates have been booked for allegedly forging notary documents, police said today.

Ashok Pandey, Anand Pandey, Rajnish Dubey and S S Mishra, were named in an FIR registered on the basis of a complaint filed by a Navi Mumbai-based businessman, said V Gadgil, Senior Inspector of Colaba Police Station adding they are allegedly part of a racket involving forging of documents.

Investigators from Colaba Police Station, where the case was lodged, are now looking for an Assistant Municipal Commissioner who is linked to the racket, he said.

The businessman, who has a garage in South Mumbai, yesterday filed the complaint about the forging racket, added Gadgil.

All four were booked under IPC Sections related to cheating and forgery, among others, said police.
