Follow teachings of Mahatma Gandhi: Lesotho PM

Jalandhar: Prime Minister of Lesotho Dr Pakalitha Bethuel Mosisili today advised youths to follow the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and said solution to the myraid problems of the world could be gleaned from the great leader’s life.

“Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings are an inspiration to the world,” Mosisili, who was the Chief Guest at 5th convocation of Lovely Professional University here, said.

He also advised the graduating students to always follow the great teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

The LPU conferred its ‘Honoris Causa’ Degree of Doctor of Letters upon Mosisili for his dedication and continuous endeavors to uphold peace and harmony, and in recognition of his outstanding public service and excellent governance, a release issued by the LPU said.

Punjab and Haryana Governor and Administrator of UT Chandigarh Kaptan Singh Solanki presided over the convocation ceremony.

Addressing the students, Mosisilii asked them to go out in the world and fly free like eagles. He also laid stress on stronger Indo-African relations and collaborations in diverse fields.

He termed the India-Africa Summit a grand success and also expressed his happiness on having a one-to-one meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Mosisili also expressed desire to have greater ties with Punjab in the fields of agriculture and education.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Solanki said, “..as leaders of the future global community, I urge students to develop sensitivity towards the ever evolving human needs. I exhort graduating students to contribute to the best of abilities to the challenging task of nation building.
