Five persons killed in road accidents

A 28-year-old man died on the spot when the tractor he was drivinig turned turtle.

According to Pahadishareef police, the deceased, N Mahesh, died instantaneously after the tractor he was driving lost control and turned turtle on Monday morning. He was a resident of Mamidipally of Saroornagar.

In another case, Syed Asif, 24, died of injuries which he sustained when the bike he was riding lost control and hit a road divider near his residence in Himayat Nagar. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, according to Moinabad police.

In a separate case, Mohammed Ali, 45, was killed after he was he was hit by a speeding bike while he was standing near his residence in Humayun Nagar on Sunday night. He sustained a grievous head injury and was declared when taken to a nearby hospital. Humayun Nagar police have registered a case against bike rider.

In a different case, an unidentified woman succumbed to the injuries which she suffered after she was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle on Peddamberpet ORR on September 4. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Sunday night. She was aged about 35 years. The Hayathnagar police have preserved the body at the OGH mortuary for post-mortem and identification.

In the last case, M. Veeraiah, 38, of Cheicherla, died on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle in Keesra Police limits. (INN)
