Five killed in road accidents

A 30-year-old pedestrian was killed on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle.

The accident occurred when the deceased, K Lakshmi, was crossing the road near her residence in Puppalaguda on Tuesday night, according to Narsingi police.

In a similar case, Krishna Reddy, succumbed to the injuries which he sustained on July 21 after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near his house in Ghatkesar. He was admitted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died on Tuesday night. He was a private security guard.

In a separate case, M Prakash, 25, of Warsiguda, died of injuries which he sustained when the bike he was riding skidded near Lamalagundu Road on July 26. According to Chilkalguda police, Prakash died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital. He was a goldsmith.

In another case, 35-year-old Md Ibrahimi Shareef died after suffering a grievous head injury when the bike he was riding skidded near Apollo Hospital on Tuesday night. He was a car driver and resident of Vidya Nagar, according to Banjara Hills police.

In a different case, a 24-year-old man died on the spot after he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and hit a parked lorry on Keesra Road on Tuesday night. He was later identified as Vijaya Kumar, an employee of a private firm and resident of Keesra. (INN)
