Five killed in road accidents

In separate cases, five persons were killed in road accidents that occurred at different places in the city and its outskirts.

In the first case, 50-year-old Sabera Begum of Tondpally succumbed to the injuries which she sustained on July 23 after she was hit by a RTC bus on NH 44 Ring Road. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died on Sunday, according to Sub-Inspector Ahmed Pasha.

In another case, C Suresh Goud, 24, died of injuries which she suffered when the bike he was riding was hit by a private bus on Old Kurnool Road on Saturday night. He was immediately rushed to the OGH where doctors declared him brought dead. He was a DJ operator and resident of Moinabad.

In a different case, three members of a family were injured when the car they were travelling in lost control and hit a road divider. The accident occurred on Kothaguda crossroads in Hayathnagar police limits on Saturday night. The car inmates, K Varaprasad, his wife Nagamani and son Dev Das, sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Varapasad, 54, succumbed to injuries on Sunday morning. They were residents of Vankataramana Colony in Suraram, according to Sub-Inspector B Seenu.

In a separate case, R Dasrath, 60, died of injuries which he sustained on July 24 when the motorcycle he was riding had a collision with another bike on Ibrahimpatnam Road. He was admitted to a private hospital where he succumbed on Sunday.

In a similar case, P Sai Kumar, 25, succumbed to the injuries which he suffered after the bike he was riding was hit by another motorcycle coming from opposite direction in Ramgopal police limits on July 17. He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital where he died on Sunday. (INN)
