Financial aid to social bodies for promotion of language

Hyderabad: Union Ministry for Law and Justice has offered financial assistance to voluntary organizations engaged in promotion of different languages in the field of law as specified in the Eighth schedule of the Constitution.
As per a notification issued by Ram Dhan Meena, Joiint Secretary and Legislative Council of Union Ministry of Law and justice, the voluntary organizations will get assistance for their contributions in the promotion of different of languages for the year 2015-16. The financial assistance will be made under a scheme of the Official Languages Act of the AP Legislature to all the eligible voluntary organizations .
The notification further stated the organizations should send their applications through Law department of the respective States or district magistrates of the area of operation so as to prove the veracity of bonafide address and bank account of the voluntary bodies on or before November 20. It said the application form and details of the scheme are made available on the Ministry’s website www.lawmin.nic.in/olwing. In this connection, advertisements have been published in leading newspapers inviting applications from October 7 to November 20, the notification stated .
All the eligible voluntary organizations engaged in promotion of different languages in Law department specified in the 8th Schedule of Indian Constitution are advised to avail the benefits of the scheme. (NSS)
