Film screening to be revived at Ravindra Bharathi

Screening of films on weekly basis will begin at Ravindra Bharathi from October this year. This will ignite new ideas and infuse creativity in aspiring filmmakers.

Films that promoted human bondage will be screened every Sunday at 4 p.m. and the entry will be free. The show will be followed by a discussion. Short films, German, Japanese and award-winning movies will be screened for public viewing. It must be recalled that the screening of films in the mini hall with a seating capacity of 80 was a regular feature till 1995 when it was called off for various reasons.

‘Ankur’ directed by Sham Benegal will be the first movie to be screened.
