FICCI organising Wireless Broadband Vision Forum

New Delhi, Aug. 12 : In order to advance the policy objectives of the Digital India program, FICCI in collaboration with Global Wi-Fi Broadband Alliance is organizing ” Wireless Broadband Vision Forum” with a theme ‘India, Wi-Fi and Smart City Development’ on Thursday.

Ashish Khetan, Vice Chairman, Delhi Dialogue Commission, Government of Delhi, and Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Member of Parliament and Technology Entrepreneur, will address the session at FICCI, Federation House, here.

Shrikant Shenwai, CEO, Wireless Broadband Alliance, and Virat Bhatia, Chairman, FICCI Communications and Digital Economy Committee, will also address the session.

The forum will bring together global experts from Singapore, San Jose and Seoul apart from leading Indian policy makers, government officials, operators and ecosystem players in this space.

The seminar looks to facilitate thought provoking and candid discussions amongst key stakeholders to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with the role of Wi-Fi technology in delivering transformational connectivity to advance the “100 Smart Cities” program.

Discussions will touch upon the role of licensed and unlicensed wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, for smart and connected cities.

The outcome of the seminar is expected to inform decisions which will drive development, ecosystem collaboration, private – public partnerships and the role of industry in this space. (ANI)
