Ex-DGP Ramulu’s two grandsons killed, one critically hurt in mishap on ORR

Three persons, including two grandsons and a nephew of Telangana Tourism Corporation chairman and retired DGP Pervaram Ramulu, were killed in an accident on the Outer Ring Road near Kokapet, 20 km from here on early hours.

According to the information, the Skoda car in which Ramulu’s grandsons and a nephew were traveling, rammed a milk carrying truck and as a result of which the car’s bonnet came under the truck. While former DGP’s grandsons Amit Pawar and Varun Pawar were killed on the spot, Peravaram Gnanadev, son of Pervaram Ramulu’s brother; who was sitting at the back died later died at a hospital. Rahul Pawar, another grandson of Ramulu, is in a critical condition.

While the milk tanker was going in the same direction slowly, the Skoda rammed into it from behind. The impact was such that the engine of the car was crushed and buckled into the cabin. The ill-fated Skoda bearing No AP09 CQ 5553 was registered in the name of Indira, wife of Pervaram Ramulu. (NSS)
