Background and Need for the role in Human Resources Services (HRS) Operations

The size of HRS has almost doubled since 2013. With the growth of our team in Seattle and India, numerous needs have arisen for the development of learning tools both internally (within HRS) and externally (for our customers), whether it be in the form of live meeting presentations, side-by-side education, self-service web training (KNET), classroom learning, videos, flowcharts, or some combination thereof. Content and Communications within HRS has expanded to encompass more than its original scope. Instructional design and learning development fits neatly within the current scope as this support team touches all of HRS and can provide an objective, needs-based program internally that will support the outcomes weve identified within each team, and align with the vision and strategy for content management when developing learning tools for our external customers that again supports the outcomes weve identified for a frustration-free employee experience, that enable growth, and cause us to operate optimally.

Position Description: ERC Learning & Development Specialist (L4)
LOCATION Hyderabad/Bangalore India, – Flexibility to travel is required

Summary of Responsibilities:

Evaluate, design and develop a training roadmap for business processes including documentation, execution and metrics assessment.
Own the learning and development framework through creation, documentation, content development, execution and metrics assessment.
Build and maintain Process Knowledge Tests (PKT) for each of the areas in India HRS Operations.
Work with operations teams, subject matter experts and business partners to identify training needs and learning paths for both online and classroom settings.
Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using multiple learning methods appropriate to subject matter and audience, such as online learning modules, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops.
Drive innovation on learning curve optimization by partnering with the Operations Team and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
Identify cross-training opportunities along with the operations team and own and drive a structure to execute and implement them.
Publish and drive a training calendar for the business.
Own the onboarding process for new hire mandatory training, orientation sessions and on-the-job training partnerships.
Conduct Train the Trainer (TTT) and create certified trainers in all sub-processes of the business.
Enable self-service through education and instruction on the available tools.
Partner with other HR teams to produce periodic internal publications.
Knowledge & Skills/ Business Acumen/ Education & Experience

MBA with 5 or more years of post-qualification experience of business experience in areas of Training/ Learning and Development (HR Operations Experience preferred)
Strong Customer focus (both Internal/External)
Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
Experience in implementing organization wide change.
Strong written and verbal presentation and facilitation skills
Strong organization skills
Prior experience in the field of content development and learning styles
Working knowledge of current and emerging training tools and learning aids
Demonstrates effective communication skills both orally and in written form, through a clear statement of objectives, findings and recommendations
Ability to lead teams and manage cross functions
Flexible to work in 24/7 shifts to suit the business needs
Proficient in administration and site design of SharePoint 2007/2010
Technically proficient with Learning Management Systems (ideally Cornerstone & KNET) and Microsoft Office Suite
E-Learning proficiency with Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or similar program
