Wellington, Nov. 8 : Elvis Presley has topped the UK album chart for a twelfth time with his ‘Orchestra’ album, even almost 40 years after his death.
The late singer’s hit ‘If I Can Dream,’ a collection of his classics featuring orchestral reworkings by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has topped the Official Albums Chart and had gave him his 12th chart-topper in Britain, Stuff.co.nz reports
The late singer now has more UK number one albums than any other male solo artist.
According to the Official Charts Company, it puts the ‘Always on My Mind’ level with Madonna in the second place for the most UK number one albums overall, while the Beatles notched up 15.
Presley’s fourteen songs was drawn from throughout his career, which spanned from the early 1950s to his death in 1977 aged 42.(ANI)
