‘Ekta Yatra’ not flop, will hold more rallies across Gujarat: Hardik Patel

Surat, Sept. 20 : Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti ( PAAS) leader Hardik Patel on Sunday downplayed reports that his ‘Ekta Yatra’ was a flop and said that he was planning to hold more rallies across Gujarat.

“Our rally has not been a flop. If it was so then so many people would not have turned up. We recently did a road show and 40,000 people came to attend it. We have support from everyone. It is the police, which is crossing its limits and troubling people. The government is misusing its powers,” Patel told ANI.

“We will announce about the rallies tomorrow. We will hold rallies in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and Mehsana,” he added.

The Gujarat Government yesterday suspended mobile internet services across the state following Hardik’s detention.

The police stated that mobile internet services were banned to check the law and order situation and to curb the rumours.

Patel along with 78 supporters were taken to the police headquarters here yesterday for trying to take out the ‘ Ekta Yatra’ without prior permission. (ANI)
