Dy. CM takes a tough stand to cancel pattas on Wakf land of Masjid “Chiyunti Shah”

Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali warned that stern action would be taken against the officials who issued patta certificates allotting Wakf land belonging to Masjid “Chiyunti Shah”. He visited the Masjid “Chiyunti Shah” after offering Friday prayer and sought information about the entire matter. After getting the information of the allotment of pattas on the Wakf land of the said Masjid, a report was obtained from Revenue Officials.

It may be noted that Revenue Officials had shown this land as Govt. property. On the basis of the report of the Revenue Officials, Tehsildar Charminar had issued patta certificate to the present occupants of the houses. Mr. Mahmood Ali took a tough stand and instructed Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare to take stern action against concerned Wakf Inspector.

He further told that the officials of Wakf Board, RDO and Revenue Department would inspect the Wakf Land pertaining to Masjid “Chiyunti Shah” at 11 a.m. on Monday 30th November. If it is proved that this land is a wakf property, all the patta certificates issued earlier would be cancelled and stern action would be taken against the erring officers.

Mr. Mahmood Ali further told that not only in the case of this property, but also any wakf property if illegally possessed would not be tolerated by the Govt. He also told that Govt. of Telangana about the protection of wakf properties. He indicated that in the near future stern action would be against the persons who possess wakf properties belonging to Dargah Hazrath Husain Shah Wali (RA).
