Dy. CM to take action for slow implementation of Minorities Schemes

Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali instructed the officials of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare to take stern action against the officers who are lethargic in the implementation of welfare scheme for Minorities. He reviewed the implementation of schemes pertaining to scholarships, fee reimbursement, Shaadi Mubarak, Bank Loan for Autorikshaws, etc. He further said that the target of Rs. 100 crore allocated for Shaadi Mubarak Scheme has been exhausted. He assured that he would make a representation for the allotment of Additional funds to the tune of Rs. 75 crore.

He expressed his displeasure on the delay in releasing the first installment of overseas scholarship scheme. He also condemned the attitude of the officials for imposing new conditions. He told them to ensure the release of the 1st installment. He asked them to complete the process before 10th December and to notify fresh applications.

Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare informed that a notice has been issued to all the colleges that stern action would be taken against the colleges who withhold the certificates of the students under the pretext of non-payment of fees since they have no such authority.

He further told that it has been decided to enhance minorities budget for the next financial year and also to introduce new schemes.

Dy. CM instructed the officials to make payments of salaries to the employees of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden on time.
