Dy CM seeks transparency in implementation of schemes

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali strictly directed the officials of Minority Welfare Department to bring transparency into the implementation of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme and other schemes and end the role of brokers. He directed District Minority Welfare Officers to recheck atleast 10 % of the beneficiaries’ applications within 15 days and submit the report based on the findings.

Mohammed Mahmood Ali conducted a review meeting on Thursday along with Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel and other minority officers and reviewed the implementation of various schemes. He admitted that complaints have been received regarding role of brokers with regard to Shaadi Mubarak scheme. He asked the officers to not only put an end to the role of middlemen but also take legal action against them. He also directed to collect phone numbers of selected applicants and beneficiaries so that verification could be done by Minority Welfare Officers.
