Dy CM reviews arrangements for Haj Camp 2015

Arrangements for successful conduct of the Haj Camp 2015 were finalized in the All Departmental meeting held at Haj House in Nampally here on Thursday.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, presided over the meeting and sought assurance and cooperation of from all the concerned departments for the smooth conduct of Haj operations. He said smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims on the scheduled time without any difficulty or the problem should be ensured. He expressed confidence that all the departments concerned will extend full cooperation in this sacred task as per the previous practice.

Mahmood Ali asked the Air India officials to ensure that no flight is delayed. He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao was keen to provide all facilities to the Haj pilgrims. For the same reason, the budget of Rs. 2 Crore, allocated in the combined State, remained intact in the Telangana state, and it would be increased if the need arises. He asked the Police department that in view of the last years incident of electrocution, no shop or stall should be allowed to be set up outside the Haj House. He sought special cooperation from the Police and Electricity departments.

Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor welcomed the gathering while G. D. Aruna, Secretary to Government, Minorities Welfare Department said that all the participants feel it a privilege to serve the Haj pilgrims.

The Air India officials assured that there would be no delay in the Haj Flights and all the facilities would be provided to the pilgrims. They informed that during past five days 21 Haj Flights took off from different points and no flight was late, rather they took off half an hour early.

GMR Rajiv Gandhi International Airport authorities briefed about the arrangements for the Haj pilgrims and stated that Conveyor Belt, Central Air Conditioning, are being provided from this year for the convenience of the pilgrims, besides arrangements for Wazu, Namaz, and announcement system would be available as usual. Seating arrangements outside the Haj Terminal and Digital Display of Flight Timings facilities would also be provided.

Immigration officials agreed to fill in the Departure cards/Immigration Forms at the Haj House. Separate counters will be provided for lady and Old age pilgrims. Customs facilitation counters will be set up at the Haj House as per previous practice. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) furnished the list of banned items and assured that the banned items if found in the baggage of pilgrims would be handed over to the Haj Committee for returning back them to the pilgrims or their relatives. Foreign Exchange will be issued to the pilgrims by Indus Ind Bank. The State Bank of India will open Temporary Extension Counters for receiving payments from Haj pilgrims during Haj Camp.

The Police Department will make round the clock security arrangements at the Haj House including Law and order and Traffic arrangements. Parking space for four wheelers and two wheelers will be provided in the Public Garden premises. Barricades will be installed outside the Haj House for free flow of traffic. Cyberabad Police will open a Police outpost at the Haj Terminal, besides making Law & Order and Traffic arrangements during departure and arrival. RTS will provide DGT vans and Buses for transportation of baggage and the pilgrims.

TS TRANSCO & Energy officials assured for uninterrupted power supply during Haj Camp and agreed to provide electricity at the adjacent land of the Haj House both Northern and Southern sides. Two Mobile Transformers will be provided besides deputation of an AE with supporting staff. GHMC, HMWW&SB, BSNL, Fire Services, R&B, IPM, DMHO, I&PR and Horticulture Department assured all support and cooperation from their departments. (INN)
