Dy CM accuses TDP of obstructing development of Telangana

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Tuesday accused Telugu Desam Party of causing obstructions in the development of Telangana State.

Speaking at a function after laying foundation stone for construction of road in Katrapally of Sangam mandal of Warangal district, the Deputy CM said that the TDP first obstructed formation of Telangana and now it was creating obstacles in its development. He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was taking steps to provide uninterrupted power supply to all the sectors in the State. However, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to create energy crisis in Telangana, he alleged.

Kadiyam said instead of preventing Naidu from working against the interest of Telangana, the T-TDP leaders were supporting him. He also ridiculed the agitation launched by the Congress party against the TRS Government. He claimed that the government took many steps for the welfare of farmers. He asked TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy to explain as to how many irrigation projects were completed during 10 years rule of Congress.

The Deputy CM also alleged that Uttam Kumar Reddy was involved in multi-crore scam of Indiramma Housing scheme. He said that the government would take stern action against those involved in the scam. (INN)
