Don’t get emotional, Naidu tells youth

Expressing on Munikoti’s suicide for special status, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today appealed to youth to refrain from getting emotional on the issue.

Reacting to the suicide of Munikoti, he expressed displeasure and appealed to the youth in the State whose lives are precious for their families and society. Chandrababu said he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi for special status in Delhi soon. Stating that injustice was meted out to residual Andhra Pradesh State, he said efforts are being made to overcome problems by getting funds from the Centre for construction of Capital City and Polavarm project.

He said they will exert pressure on the Centre for special status. It is the responsibility of BJP Government to fulfill the promises made during UPA regime by the then Prime Minister Manomhan Singh. He further appealed to the youth to maintain cool and not to resort to extreme steps. “We hope the Centre would take a final call on the special status issue, Naidu added. He extended sympathies to the bereaved family members. (NSS)
