DK Aruna dares KCR on irrigation projects

Former minister DK Aruna today launched a broadside against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on irrigation projects.

Talking to the media after a CLP meeting on irrigation projects and problems of farmers here on Sunday, Aruna challenged KCR whether he would ‘rub his nose to earth’ if he failed to complete the irrigation projects in three years. Though the Chief Minister was repeatedly saying that he would complete the projects, the TRS government failed to release adequate funds in the last one year for pending projects in Mahbubnagar district, she charged.

She also accused Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao of going blind and deaf to the woes of the people on irrigation projects and other issues. If Harish has guts, he should come for an open debate on Palamur projects and development done during the Congress regime, she challenged. The government was making a publicity stunt instead of releasing the funds for the projects, Aruna alleged. She also took exception to Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao’s remarks against the Congress leaders. Aruna ridiculed Jupally for quitting the Congress for Telangana slogan and for throwing into jail the activists of Telangana movement. The TRS Government is least bothered about good governance as the leaders have become corrupt and indulging in a ‘chair power’ she charged. Aruna also claimed that Palamur district was developed when she was a minister. (NSS)
