Telangana government has introduced various schemes for the welfare of minorities but the concerned officials don’t seem to be sincere in implementing those schemes. Hundreds of students and poor families present at the District Minority Welfare office Hyderabad complained this who had come to settle their issues.
Hundreds of people reach the District Minority Welfare office located at the 6th floor of Hajj House building, daily to know the status of their application, procedure of application and to know the guidelines of the schemes, but there is no one to pay attention to them. No official is available at public service.
Applicants stand in queue for hours but when their turn comes they don’t get satisfactory answer. Many poor families and students have expressed anger over the attitude of officials. On Tuesday several students were seen engaging in skirmishes with the subordinates. Students are deprived of scholarship and fee-reimbursement and have been making rounds of Minority Welfare office for days.
