Digital T for smooth governance: KTR

Information and Technology Minister KT Rama Rao today said that technology and its know-how plays a pivotal role in simplifying the lives and lifestyles at rural areas.

Inaugurating the Innovation Centre for Digital and Smart India at Kondapur here, KTR stated that they brought in revolutionary changes in the state by adopting latest technologies and its equipment. Taking cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Digital India” the state government is trying to promote Digital Telangana program to provide good governance through technology and knowledge.

‘We are also planning to promote e-governance in the villages to offer the people speedy services driven by modern technology. Besides the IT sector, the State Government is according top priority for industrial promotion and to bring investments to offer jobs and add to economic growth’, he said. Attracted to the State’s best and hassle free industrial policy of giving permissions in just 11 days, many industrialists are queuing up to rope in with huge investments, he claimed. Stating that IT knowledge and use will bring ultimate change in the governance, the minister said that services are being improved with increasing use of smart phones. The Government will extend similar priority to small and medium level companies and industries for investments as it is done in the case of big industries, he said.(NSS)
