Devotees throng Puri to witness ‘Bahuda Yatra’

Puri (Odisha), July 26 : Thousands of devotees on Sunday thronged the holy city of Puri to witness the world-famous Bahuda Yatra, the return car festival, of the deities – lord Jagannath, lord Balabhadra, lord Sudarshan and Devi Subhadra.

The ‘Chhera Pahanra’ by Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb of Puri is slated for 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. today and the pulling of the chariots is scheduled to begin by 4 p.m. this evening.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made for the Bahuda Yatra. (ANI)
