Demolition of Babri Masjid a conspiracy, Lord Rama not found in Hindu books – Tarakam

Hyderabad: Forum against Hindu Fascism organized a protest meeting yesterday. It was presided over by Justice Chandra Kumar. In his presidential address, Justice Kumar said that the demolition of Babri Masjid was the most tragic event of the history of India. He was addressing a protest meeting at Prakasham Hall, Gandhi Bhavan yesterday. He also told that the demolition of Babri Masjid is a shabby scar on the democratic system of India. He further told that soon after the independence of India, fascist forces have been causing intolerance. After the demolition of Babri Masjid, due to lack of unity among the secular and democratic organizations, the fascist forces grew stronger. Their activities increased after Modi assumed charge in the center. After the communal riots of Muzaffarnagar, the assassination of democratic writer, Govind Pansare in Sonpet is the example of intolerance.

Justice Chandra Kumar also told that in Modi Govt. Minorities and Dalits are being targeted. An elderly Dalit was assaulted when he entered a temple and he was later killed.

Senior Advocate of High Court, Mr. Buja Tarakam told that for the demolition of Babri Masjid, Hindu fascist forces are responsible. They have been making an attempt to disrupt communal harmony even before independence of India. Naming Babri Masjid as the Ram Janambhoomi, a conspiracy was hatched whereas there is no mention of Lord Rama in all the religious books of Hindus. He further told that there are many places in Ayodhya which are suppose to be birth places of Rama. Mr. Tarakam also strongly condemned the judgment delivered by Allahabad High Court. He said that the land of Babri Masjid was divided into three parts as a piece of paper. He blamed the judges of Allahabad High Court for pronouncing this judgment on the basis of Aastha (Faith). After this judgment the confidence of Minorities and Dalits on the Indian Judiciary ceased.

Addressing the protest meeting, Mr. Varavara Rao told that the judiciary is pronouncing judgments on the basis of religion which is a great danger for the solidarity and the democratic system of the country. He also told that the courts are pronouncing death sentence or life imprisonment seeing the religion of the culprits. He strongly condemned the judgments of hanging Afzal Guru and Yaqub Memon. Instead of pronouncing death sentence to non-Muslims, the courts are awarding life imprisonments which are an attempt to create inferiority complex among the Muslims. He announced that the democratic organizations would continue to struggle for the restoration of Babri Masjid. He also said that these organization would continue to strive till the culprits of Babri Masjid to Dadri incident are published. There is a need for the secular forces to get united in order to deprive the forces of intolerance from power.
