Death toll from plane crash at UK air show rises to 11

London:The death toll from a plane crash into a West Sussex main road during an air show has risen to 11, said police.

According to the BBC, Assistant Chief Constable of Sussex Police Steve Barry said that the figure could rise further as police continue their investigation.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the aviation regulator, said it would be examining the circumstances of the crash to see whether improvements could be made to current safety requirements.

The crash occurred when a military jet failed to pull up out of a loop and crashed into a busy road.

The Hawker Hunter aircraft ploughed into several cars, creating a fireball and sending a thick black smoke billowing into the sky.
