The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday extended the deadline for installation of Set Top Boxes (STBs) for cable TV operations in Telangana by another two months.
The deadline set by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for digitization of cable broadcast in cities ends on December 31. Responding to a petition by the Telangana MSOs’ Association that the Centre had not supplied adequate number of STBs, the court granted two more months for the digitization. (NSS)
