DCC leader KM Prathap quits party; likely to join TRS

Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee former president K M Prathap tendered his resignation to primary membership of the party on Friday.

Speaking to the media at his residence at Qutbullapur, Prathap said the Congress party has transformed into a Private Limited Party. He said he will announce his future course of action very soon.

It is learnt that Prathap was planning to join the ruling TRS party within a few days. It may be mentioned here that Prathap faced allegations during the general elections that he had worked against the Congress party. The PCC had also served a show-cause notice on Prathap then. Since then, Prathap distanced himself from Congress party activities. (NSS)
