Danam nails rumors of his joining TRS

While having extensive discussions with his followers and well-wishers, Greater Congress president Danam Nagender has made it clear that he would not leave the Congress under any circumstances.

As rumors were afloat on Friday that Danam Nagender was joining the TRS, Leader of Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir went to Danam’s residence and had a secret meeting for a while and both came out of the house.

Speaking to the media later, Danam questioned the media what was wrong in having a meeting with his followers. He said he had a meeting with his followers to discuss as to how to strengthen the Congress party and reiterated that he would not leave the party at any cost.

Asked about the rumors on his joining TRS, Danam’s followers raised slogans ‘Jai Danam’. Danam too left the place without giving an answer to the media. On the other hand, Shabbir Ali said a conspiracy was going on against Danam. “Danam is hardcore Congress leader and he has close relations with the Gandhi family”, he added.

It is learnt that Danam changed his mind after discussions with Shabbir Ali. Shabbir Ali reportedly conveyed the message of AICC general secretary in-charge of the State Congress Affairs Digvijay Singh that Danam has good future in the party. Meanwhile, rumors gripped the city that Danam would join the TRS on Monday. (NSS)
