Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand on Friday suspended one Sub-Inspector Saidulu of Vanastalipuram Police Station for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs. 8000/- from a Fair price shop owner and also accepted bribe in letting off the accused by not arresting in another case.
The Sub-Inspector also collected Rs. 2,000/- to 5,000/- from each pandal organizers in his sector with the help of Blue Colts personnel and a total amount of Rs 50,000/- to Rs 60,000/- was collected during Ganesh Festival.
Another constable Mansoor Alam, No.815, of Sanathnagar PS was also suspended for not performing his official duties but collecting bribes in the PS limits. (INN)
