Cyberabad CP holds meet with Ganesh Utsav leaders for peaceful Ganesh fete

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand today held a meeting with Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee members at his office on Wednesday evening.

Addressing the meeting, C.V. Anand and Joint Commissioner of Police TV Shashidhar Reddy requested the Ganesh Utsav Committee members to cooperate with the police for peaceful celebration of Ganesh Festival. They also assured that Cyberabad Police would also extend co-operation till the final Immersion of Ganesh idols.

The Joint Commissioner of Police explained about the idols immersion pattern. Last year, as many as 9058 Ganesh Idols were installed in Cyberabad area and this year the number may be increased. The Cyberabad Police is in laison with all concerned departments for necessary works such as repairs to approach roads to lakes. The police would supervise installation of cranes, generators, drinking water, barricading to bunds, electric lighting, boats, swimmers, fire fighting system and so on, he added.

Kartikaya, DCP Madhapur Zone, M. Srinivas Rao, Addl. DCP Madhapur and other Police Officers attended the meeting. Ganesh Utsav Committee General Secretary Dr Bhagwan Rao, Shashidhar Secretary, Karodimal Vice President, Baddam Bal Reddy Ex-MLA and other members from all parts of Cyberabad attended the meeting.
