Crompton Greaves posts Rs.134 crore profit in Q2

Mumbai: Leading engineering company Crompton Greaves on Thursday said it posted a rise of 7.4 percent in its net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs.134.36 crore, as against Rs.125.03 crore in the same period the last year.
According to the standalone unaudited financial results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said its total income from operations marginally declined to Rs.1,923.82 crore from Rs.1,925.71 crore while total expenses rose to Rs.1,785.81 crore in the quarter under review from Rs.1,783.33 crore.
However, on a consolidated basis, net profit declined to Rs.52.14 crore in Q2 from Rs.69.59 crore.
Total income from operations on consolidated basis declined to Rs.3,216.13 crore in the analysed quarter from Rs.3,430.32 crore, while total expenses fell to Rs.3,127.03 crore from Rs.3,328.04 crore.
