Failed love affair led to suicide

(Siasat News): A dejected youth who was failed in his love affair, committed suicide in Madhapur.

According to Madhapur police, the deceased driver Ramakrishna, 20, was in love with a girl. However, his love was not reciprocated by the girl and he was snubbed.

Ramakrishna was very upset ever since and took the extreme step of hanging himself with a tree. Police has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Excise Department’s raid in Dhoolpet

(Siasat News): The Excise Department in its biggest crackdown raided various places in notorious Dhoolpet area and seized illicit liquor and the materials used in distilling it in bulk quantity.

This crackdown was conducted suddenly and the people of the locality were caught unaware in the wee hours. A team of 200 officials of Excise Department conducted house-to-house search in Jumerat Bazar and Dhoolpet and seized more than 3000 packets containing illicit liquor.

Dy. Commissioner Excise Department Mr. M M A Farooqui said that this crackdown was suddenly conducted and the officials from Medak, Mahboobnagar and Karimnagar were engaged in the raids.

22 persons arrested and stern action would be taken against them as per the law.
