Hyderabad, July 13: Bid to loot ATM fails
(Siasat News): Thieves made a futile attempt to steal money from an unguarded ATM in Miyapur. They used metal rods to break open the ATM machine of SBH at Swarnapuri colony.

They repeatedly hit the machine with iron rods but could not succeed. In the meantime, some passersby heard the noise of hitting and turned their attention towards the ATM centre.

When thieves saw the people coming, the immediately fled the scene. Inspector Miyapur Ramesh has registered a case and further investigations are on.

Man held for harassing hostel girls

(Siasat News): Rajendranagar police has arrested a man for allegedly harassing the girl students in a hostel situated at Manikyammanagar.

When the girls went to school, he intercepted them and passed lewd comments. He also harassed them by showing obscene pictures on his phone. Police said that the accused Narsimha Kumar, 26, is the resident of the same colony and stays near the girl’s hostel.

Nearly 60 girls stay there studying from class VIII to X and attend the nearby Government School. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.

Another dowry death

(Siasat News): A 28-year-old woman committed suicide due to the alleged demand for more dowry from her in-laws.

According to Moinabad police, the deceased V Somalatha hanged herself to death at her residence at Kanamamidi.

She was allegedly harassed by her husband Srinu and other in-laws for more dowry. A case has been registered against the husband and his relatives and further investigations are in progress.
