The CPI Central Secretariat has strongly condemned the “gross interference by RSS into the matters of country’s governance by holding close-door consultation meetings with the Prime Minister and other members of the Council of Ministers”.
In a statement here today, S Sudhakar Reddy, General Secretary of CPI, said that the three-day appraisal meeting which ended on August 4, 2015 violated ‘the spirit of our Constitution which stipulates that the Prime Minister and his Council of Ministers who have taken a oath under the Constitution that they will not disclose their plans and policies with those who are not under such constitutional oath’. The RSS which all these years claimed it to be a cultural organization, is blatantly violating all that understanding and has grown into an extra-constitutional authority.
‘The Party has been cautioning the people of covert interference by RSS. With the present RSS-BJP conclave, the interference has become open and overt. This is not good for the democratic set up of our nation’, Sudhakar Redy said demanded the ruling NDA coalition and its leaders to desist from such surrender to an extra-constitutional authority. The Party also urged the people to be vigilant about such anti-constitutional moves and to expose the designs of RSS to control the government from the backdoor. (NSS)
