CPI asks KCR to improve hospital services first to save people

CPI MLA R Ravindra Kumar has urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who assured people that he would provide cheap liquor to protect their health, to develop the government hospitals with quality medication.

Ravindra Kumar addressed a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard here on Friday. In his letter, he stated the tribal areas were in the grip of viral fevers and tribal people were falling ill due to Dengue and chickengunya as they were not getting good treatment in the hospitals resulting in deaths. He also said the Chief Minister Relief Fund was also not adequate and the people were coming to cities as they were not in a position to get quality treatment in districts. He said the government has to provide treatment first in the government hospitals.

The CPI leader has asked the TRS government to supply adequate medicines and appoint adequate medical and para-medical staff in the government hospitals. The government has to set up medical tests centers everywhere in the State and protect the people from dog bites and mosquito bites. (NSS)
