Etah:A couple was allegedly abused and beaten by sticks by three persons due to an old rivalry, at their house in Nagla Pawal village here, police said today.
The victims have been identified as Ajab Singh and his wife Sunita Singh, they said.
They were beaten with sticks by one Dharamveer and his two brothers yesterday when they objected to the abuses hurled on them by the accused, they said.
An FIR has been registered at Dehat police station, police said adding that the injured were taken to the hospital and their condition is stated to be stable.
The matter is being investigated and no arrests have been made in connection to the matter, they added.
