Controversy Over Osmania Univ Students’ Beef Fest

Goshamahal BJP MLA Raja Singh Loth has urged the Osmania University authorities not to allow the ‘Beef Festival’ to be organized by the students of Osmania University on December 10. On Monday, Raja Singh went to the University and urged the authorities not to give permission to the students, who organize the beef festival. He said that the beef festival will destroy the peaceful atmosphere of the university.

On the other hand, University students have lodged a complaint with the Osmania University Police Station, stating that Raja Singh was trying to obstruct the Beef Festival to be held in the University. They made it clear that they will organize the Beef Festival at any cost and alleged that the BJP government was trying to control the food habits of the people.

It may be recalled that the Osmania University students were organizing Beef Festival for the last few years. This year, the students were contemplating to organize the festival as protest program against the activities going on against the beef across the nation. (NSS)
