Strongly objecting to his participation in the party’s foundation day function, Congress workers of Uppal area on Monday threw eggs and tomatoes at Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee president Danam Nagender.
Nagender, along with other leaders went to Uppal to hoist party’s flag on the occasion of party’s foundation day. However, the Congress workers raised slogans against Nagender and asked him to ‘Go Back’. They said Nagender has no moral right to participate in a function organised by Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee leaders.
When Nagender ignored the protest, a few workers allegedly threw eggs and tomatoes on him. This led to a scuffle between Nagender’s supporters and Ranga Reddy Congress workers. RR DCC president Mallesh Goud was also present in the event. (INN)
