Former Union Minister Balram Naik on Friday demanded CBI enquiry into the death of Yalal Police Station Sub-Inspector R. Ramesh who allegedly committed suicide on September 14.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Balram Naik described the SI’s death as murder committed at the behest of TRS leaders and sand mining mafia. He alleged that the local circle was involved in the murder. He accused the TRS Government of eliminating opponents using the police force. He said earlier, on two occasions, the government officials were attacked by the sand mafia in connivance with the local police. He demanded that the government order a CBI probe into Ramesh’s death and punish the culprits. (INN)
