Guwahati: Assam Congress President Anjan Dutta today suspended four MLAs and issued show cause notice to five others for “anti-party activities”, said an APCC spokesman.
The four suspended Congress legislators are Jayanta Malla Barua, Pijush Hazarika, Pallab Lochan Das and Pradan Barua, APCC spokesman Apurba Bhattacharjee told PTI.
The five MLAs’ served show cause notice are Abu Taher Bepari, Kripanath Mallah, Rajen Borthakur, Binanda Kumar Saikia and Bolin Chetia, Bhattacharjee said.
The five were asked to give their replies within 15 days from today, the spokesman said.
