Cong. backs Siasat’s Muslim Reservation Movement

Congress Legislature Party meeting discussed 12 percent Muslim Reservation Movement initiated by Siasat. Mohammed Farooq Husain appealed Congress party to support the movement. Congress legislature Party meeting was held to prepare action plan for the ensuing assembly and council meeting here at assembly conference hall under the chairmanship of opposition leader K Jana Reddy.

Leader of opposition in Telangana legislative council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, President Telangana Pradesh Congress Uttam Kumar Reddy, Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and other congress MLAs and MLCs were present. Meanwhile Mohammed Farooq Husain told that Siasat Daily had initiated 12 Muslim Reservation Movement and in an effort to mount pressure on government. Large scale memorandums were submitted to collectors, RDOs, public representatives and Tahsildars which had stirred up government missionary and political circles. He appealed K Jana Reddy and Mohammed Ali Shabbir to raise the issue of 12 percent Muslim reservations in assembly and council. Congress MLAs and MLCs supported Farooq Husain’s appeal.
